On October 24, 2024, Tehran University of Medical Sciences hosted a seminar on osteoporosis updates. Esteemed health professionals discussed the latest advances in prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of osteoporosis, emphasizing its growing impact on public health and aging populations.

This congress was held with the aim of sharing the latest findings and achievements in the field of osteoporosis and musculoskeletal diseases.

The Imam Khomeini Hospital in Sari has been awarded a silver medal by the International Osteoporosis Foundation (IOF) and has been officially recognized on the IOF’s global osteoporosis map as the third comprehensive center in Iran providing secondary fracture prevention (FLS) services.

Members of Iranian Osteoporosis Network came together in the form of a virtual meeting on August 18, 2020 to evaluate and report on the scope of progress of the projects being carried out in the field of Osteoporosis in Iran.

The virtual workshop for the implementation of the Multi-Center Osteoporosis Survey of Iran (IMOS) was conducted on Wednesday, April 12, 2021. The event, organized by the Osteoporosis Research Center of EMRI, gathered stakeholders from medical universities and public health sectors to discuss the ongoing fourth phase of this significant national survey.

In the 18th Avicenna Research and Educational Festival attended by Dr. Hasan Hashemi , Minister of Health and dedicated to honor the prominent Researches and academics of Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS), Dr. Patricia Khashayar, one of the key investigators of the research project entitled, “PoC in-office device for identifying individuals at high risk of Osteoporosis and osteoporotic fracture(PoCOsteo)” was awarded for her contribution in gaining international grant for the university.
